I have been a huge fan of Texture skirts for the past dozen years or so. Last summer I discovered the ‘fitted comfy’ skirt style and proceeded to collect 3 of them. I am a tall lady and these skirts are the perfect length for me, I size them smaller than regular and wear high waisted with a shirt tucked in, it’s become my new uniform. The pocket, the stretch, the thick waistband, extremely flattering and so comfortable.
I own at least 15 Texture clothing items and THIS ONE is my favorite! I have it in four colors (cranberry, skyfall, nutmeg, and black) and create endless outfits, for every day of the week with them. This skirt is the perfect weight; thick enough to look substantial, thin enough to wear in every season. It's a great length; I'm 5'11" so finding skirts long enough for me is always a struggle. This one hits at/slightly above my knee. The pocket is perfect for cash, ID, credit cards...even my large phone in a pinch. THIS SKIRT IS COMFORTABLE! I wear mine for everything: bartending, walking the dog, meeting with clients, going out for drinks, work events, dinner with the family, concerts, travel, museums, etc... And I always feel pulled together, unhindered, and confident. I receive so many compliments about my skirts, so I'm always recommending them and Texture clothing. (I was just telling a coworker about you guys earlier this week!)
I really wish I could get this skirt in the Dijon color! Its one of my favorite colors of my fitted minis, but I prefer the length of the knee length fitted comfy skirt.
This is my 8th texture skirt and my absolute favorite (although i’ve said that about each of them at one point or another). It’s comfortable af, super versatile, flattering, packs well, doesn’t wrinkle, and i’m sorry but the crotch pocket is pure genius. i would buy this skirt again ten times over (obviously, i already own 8 of them) and recommend to a woman of any size (seriously, i have friends that are shaped very very differently than me who can wear the same size and it just hugs them differently, the combo hemp/organic cotten/spandex is your friend) and your friend’s friend. Recommend to size down, fabric is thick but feels light and shrinks back down after a wash and lasts foreverr.
I've been eyeing this for awhile and I am glad I bought it. I love it. As another reviewer said - I do believe I now need this in every color. I got the peacock and it's a beautiful turquoise. So comfy, I want to wear it every day. I got the XL and it's loose on me (I normally wear a 14/16). With a few wears it's actually stretched so it's looser. I am hoping washing it shrinks it up a little. I plan on getting the L for the next one I buy. The cut is very flattering. The pocket is great. It's the heavier weight fabric but still good for most summer days. This is a year-round winner!
I struggle to dress for work. I am an engineer and I work in a fairly conservative office. I'm also a curvy girl. I started out buying ugly, uncomfortable, unflattering suits for women and new that I could not keep it up. Enter the fitted knee-length comfy skirt.
Dare I say a skirt has changed my life? It pretty much has. This style is a really perfect conservative length for my office. The fitted style makes it a bit more dressed up and "professional" looking than the standard comfy skirt. I am up to four in this style because I wear it probably 3/5 days a week. I just feel put together when I wear it. I also love that it is long enough to work well at the office with my OTK socks so I can still get away with not wearing tights or pantyhose.
Do I only wear it to the office? Heck no. This skirt is sexy! I can pull it up on my waist to make it a mini skirt and head out for a show or date night. This was a phenomenal addition to the comfy skirt line. Now I have to patiently wait for each season to get my new colors.
Pro tip: Something about this style makes it a little looser than the standard comfy skirt. I prefer a size smaller in this one.
