teresa
Teresa Anne Remple was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and has lived in Bellingham for nearly eight years. She is the proprietress of texture clothing and in that capacity she does everything from drafting patterns to sweeping the floors. She started sewing at twelve and founded the company in October, 2002. Her all time style icon is Madeleine Vionnet and she is quite fond of disco-dancing. Her favourite actor is Tim Robbins and she is terrified of speaking in public. Her favourite book as a child was The Pokey Little Puppy and her first pet was a dog named Thompson. She is fond of a mysterious place called Holden Village and would spend much more time there if she were not busy running the world. She has never shot a real gun.

Tim Hubner was born, raised and has spent all but two years living in Bellingham.  In the past seven or so years his time has been spent drawing, selling movie tickets, screen printing, baking bagels, riding bikes, eating food, operating old printing presses, not riding bikes, finishing college and breaking two heels at once.  As of one year ago he had five bikes, six months ago only one and a half, but soon will have four again, each one prettier than the last.  He tries to ride them enough to have a good excuse to eat as many grilled cheese sandwiches and fake sloppy joe's as possible.  His main goal in life is to either be or marry Michel Gondry, whichever is easier.

Heather Smith was born and raised in Bellingham. Though in love with the town, she hates being referred to as a "hamster". She has slung a lot of coffee, sold a lot of organic food, spent way too much time as a student and finally gotten to a point in life where she has a college degree that might get her a job someday. When not working at texture, she spends her time shaping the mids of america's youth, i.e. substitute teaching. In her spare time she hangs out with her fabulous partner and the coolest 10-year-old-girl-child on the planet, cooks a ton of vegan food, reads as many books as she can get her hands on, makes lots of crafy things and spends time in nature with her crazy pups. Texture clothing has taken control of her closet and she loves it.

John Goetz, a native of Lynnwood, WA, is known to those closest to him as Johnny Boy. He likes dogs, he likes cats, but dislikes dogs the size of cats. Activity preferences include snowboarding and eating steaks, bike riding when there's no snow while eating ice cream, sewing and building things out of wood while fuelling up on oatmeal. Mostly he is looking forward to the day when a freak nuclear accident endows him with the ability to fly. Flying would be so much fun.

Thiep Le was born in Ca Mau, Vietnam and has lived in Seattle for fifteen years. She is a seamstress who sews a variety of items for texture clothing. She is married with three daughters and her favorite trees are fruit trees. At fifteen, she learned to sew and embroider. As a child she enjoyed performing a traditional Vietnamese Dance and she has sewn for much of her working life. Her favorite singers are Thanh Tuyen, Huong Lan, and Hoang Oanh. She likes to cook Vietnamese dishes such as pho and would like to visit Vietnam again.

Hedi Rosa Stenvers was born in Germany and moved to California eventually settling in Bellingham in 1990. She works as a seamstress for texture clothing and has a distinct aversion to taffeta. She hates the Beatles yet strangely adores “Strawberry Fields Forever” incense. She is a Virgo with grandchildren who fondly remembers watching the symphony with her father. She prefers Sarsaparilla and square dancing to the rough trendy crowd and enjoys the films of Katherine Hepburn and Anthony Hopkins. She says her mother sewed everything and “if you were to look at the stitching you’d swear it was done on a machine.” She occasionally sews her own clothing and is considered to be an excellent cook. She no longer plays any games yet possesses an elaborate sense of humour.
